Misha loved the tiny lights.

Misha kept a jar of paper stars on the shelf.

Misha sat by the window and watched the stars.

Misha opened the jar and pretended to sprinkle light.

Misha felt safe and steady.

Misha whispered to the sky.

Misha wondered where the star lights had gone.

Misha looked up and noticed space was quiet.

Misha counted empty patches.

Misha decided to find them.

Misha imagined the stars hiding.

Misha pressed a hand to the cool glass.

Misha smiled when the robot blinked awake.

Misha tapped the console and called, "CharlieTwo."

Misha climbed into a paper rocket.

Misha guided the rocket up and out.

Misha watched the earth shrink and the dark grow wide.

Misha held CharlieTwo’s tiny hand.

Misha told CharlieTwo, "We can try."

Misha felt a tiny flutter in the chest.

Misha breathed in a little slow breath.

Misha said aloud, "We will find them."

Misha put both hands on the wheel.

Misha felt a flutter and a steadying thought.
